Memory loss and memory growth

By  Lysette Offley

Memory loss. Photo of elderly coupleTalking of memory loss, you know there are three signs of old age…

The first is memory loss. And I can’t remember the other four…

Who first said that? And, as Nicholas Parsons has asked, why is it OK to joke about old age, when we’re so careful not to make jokes based on religion, gender, race etc etc?

So, is joking about growing older, the way we cope with the inevitable changes we experience?

And might it be that by doing so, we talk ourselves into manifesting some of our expectations?

So how do you talk to yourself?

Do you keep berating yourself for forgetting stuff? And if you do, is it possible that you’re accelerating the process?

Well, who knows!

But I do know that when you talk to yourself, someone very important is listening!
